AFMIN NAMIBIA

Afmin’s first steps onto Namibian soil were taken on Tuesday 15 July 2008, when Johan and Margaret Mwale were interviewed on Radio Ecclesia in Windhoek. The interview lasted for about an hour which gave Johan a wonderful opportunity to tell the Christians of Windhoek all about AFMIN. Margaret spoke about the seminar which was planned for the next day, and invited church leaders to attend.

Margaret Mwale, who previously was an AFMIN secretary in Zambia, did a marvelous job of organizing AFMIN’s first seminar in Windhoek. The enthusiastic church leaders from various denominations the attended the seminar, were thrilled to hear all that AFMIN has to offer. Many constructive questions were asked and much interest was shown regarding the future plans AFMIN has for their country. A wonderful spirit of fellowship was experienced over lunch. It was obvious that the doors have swung open wide for AFMIN’s welcome entry in Namibia.

We will be returning to Namibia in April 2009 to establish an AFMIN school
